RENTAL INFORMATION

Whether your event is large, small, or somewhere in between, Langston Hughes Performing Arts Institute (LHPAI) is the perfect setting.  With venues available year-round to host galas, weddings, theme parties, bar and bat mitzvahs, luncheons, dinners, seminars and fundraisers, LHPAI has spaces that can be transformed into whatever you can imagine — and what we can help you imagine!  LHPAI has two exterior parking lots available for use.  Located in one of Seattle’s most storied, historic neighborhoods – the Central District—we welcome you to one of the most historic facilities and neighborhoods in the city.

We are available to arrange rentals between the hours of 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.  Please call (206) 684-4758 or email Alfred Love at LHPAI.

Grand Rehearsal Hall

The Grand Rehearsal Hall is a unique venue with a brand-new, sprung, dance studio floor for professional dance rehearsals and performances.  It is the perfect venue for a cocktail party, wedding ceremony, or luncheon when the floor is covered for non-dance studio use.

  • Comfortably seats up to 150 guests
  • Able to accommodate a cocktail party for up to 270 guests

PERFORMING ARTS LAB

The Performing Arts Lab is the perfect venue for an intimate conference, meeting or cocktail reception before an event.

  • Comfortably seats up to 45 guests
  • Able to accommodate a cocktail party for up to 45 people

THEATER

Architect Marcus Priteca, designer of the Pantages theatres, designed the 100-year-old theatre portion of the LHPAI, which formerly housed the Bikur Cholim synagogue.  Upon entering, a feeling of awe comes upon guests as the ornate dome comes into view.

LHPAI is a safe and secure environment recently renovated in 2011 and is wi-fi friendly.
